Walk in the marsh - At low tide, you can walk down the stairs and into the marsh. You will find lots of crabs, oysters, birds and other wildlife that you donÕt see from a distance. The stairs are along the walkway on Atlantic Avenue, just before the bridge across the marsh (10 minute walk from the house.)
Bird watch at sundown - Before sundown, drive to the end of Garden City and park before the gated community. Walk down the beach access and down the beach to the end of the peninsula. Lots of birds will fly from the north to nests in the state park south of the marsh. You will need to allow 30 minutes to walk from the parked car to the end of the peninsula.
Myrtle Beach Boardwalk - MB has a new boardwalk from 1st Ave North to 14th Ave North. It is a huge improvement from the Myrtle Beach of old, so you can take a nice walk, visit shops, etc.
